We had the pleasure of dining at Mitchums' last weekend. The food was impeccable! There was absolutely nothing to complain about a so much to rave about. We had a appetizer with shrimp and grits, wasnt sure what to expect and it was wonderful. The scallops are still telling me to come back soon. The waitress, Cat was always available and what a wonderful staff. Thank you all for a memorable evening. You are doing the town a wonderful service and are to be commended on your receiving of Hottest New Places to Eat in Maryland!! Way to go
A GEM!!

What a wonderful addition to the Eastern Shore...finally a diniing experience that matches the finest restaurants in New York, DC and Baltimore. The food is sublime, the wine list respectable, and the prices are fair. Dining at a restaurant of this caliber anywhere else would be twice as expensive. The service is top notch.
Mitchums Nominated Best New Restaurant!

Mitchum's Steakhouse was recently nominated favorite new restaurant in Maryland by the National Restaurant Association. If you haven't been there you don't know what you're missing, it's fantastic.
There was a group of us that came in, we have heard so many good things about Mitchum's that we had to see for ourselves. It was teriffic from beginning to end. Our waitress was outstanding, she told us the specials and was very attentive. The meal was excellent, the atmosphere was good. We will let all of our friends know to come to Mitchum's. The word is out, that place is OUTSTANDING! Thanks for a great evening....
Our night out was perfect. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Mitchum's Steak house. When we walked into the resturant it was everything that we heard. The setting was extraodinary and the food was phenomenal. My Husband ordered the the crab cake appetizer and I had the scallops that I would order again. We both had Filet's for our entrees, they were the best steaks I have had in a long time out. The service was great. Our waitress Crystal was very helpful in our wine selection. Her service and personality combined with the Chef's great entrees will have us talking about this evening with all our friends....
An icon never changes. Robert Mitchum was a Hollywood tough guy with a cleft chin and a persona of lazy intensity. The star of cowboy movies and classic noir films he once said he had two acting styles: “With and without a horse.” For a time during the 1950s and '60s, Robert Mitchum and his family lived in Talbot County. It doesn’t take long to find a local old-timer or two who have pleasant memories of interaction with the down to earth movie star.
It’s even easier to find people who have good things to say about Mitchum’s, an ambitious enterprise one block off Route 50 in the heart of Trappe that is really three operations in one.
Dining at a steakhouse named after Robert Mitchum means manly servings of meat and potatoes— and even a Marilyn Monroe sighting.
A restaurant named for actor Robert Mitchum couldn’t be anything but a steakhouse, could it? No dainty tea room with small plates for him. No, sir. Beefcake needs meat, and Mitchum’s Steak House offers lots of it, plus some appetizers that make dinner seem nearly redundant.
We just got back from Trappe, MD, south of Easton right off of 50 on the Eastern Shore. We were visiting a friend and went to Mitchum's Steakhouse. We started off with a smorgasbord of appetizers including a delicious duck with blood orange marmalade, shrimp and grits with andouille sausage and the most incredible oysters stuffed with jumbo lump crab. This would have been enough to satisfy and delight our group but we continued on with a nice salad topped off with a not often seen cowboy cut of steak and rockfish that melted in your mouth. The space is wide open with ample seating and a beautiful wood bar. The clean decor and friendly staff made this a place we'll visit any time we're trekking across Route 50. Top notch through and through.
